Driver Communications Module

For most companies the continuous communication with delivery drivers and mobile workers uses expensive mobile phones, often illegally without the use of hands free kits.

The MAN Driver Communications Module is a dedicated in-cab hands free terminal which provides text communication with the driver. Voice communications can also be added. Communications use the existing GPRS capability of the In-Vehicle Computer used for monitoring the vehicle. It can also provide driver ID using either the keypad, Dallas key or card swipe.

Voice communications from the driver can be easily set within the MAN host web software in a variety of configurations : single, telephone directory or free number receipt of calls, single number dialing, fixed telephone directory list or free number dialing. Where required the available telephone directory is maintained on the host system.

2-way text messaging can also be fully configured for either fixed response, selection from a list of fixed responses or free text. Access to the messaging screen is gained with a simple right click on the map client view on the host system. SMS messages can also be sent and received seamlessly to mobile phones.
